Changes Regarding Trash Pickup

Please review the information concerning the new automated Charlotte County garbage program.  This includes everyone in Heritage Oak park except residents in Condos. As you will note - the program starts October 6. They are delivering new garbage carts throughout September. Carts will be delivered to all addresses and left at the curb. You will not have a choice in size, it will either be 64 or 96 gallons. After 30 days, if this does not work for you, you can exchange it.  If you are gone through September, please make plans with your neighbor to put your cart in your garage.

This has nothing to do with recycling, it will not change, ---but the garbage, recycling and yard waste will all be picked up on the same day, one time per week.  The other changes are that garbage has to be out by 5:00 am, so that means the night before, and they will not pick up anything in bags, like some people have been putting out. We don't know what day they will be picking stuff up, they haven't announced that yet, just know that it won't be on a Sat.
